Sowing:
Transplant: Sow indoors 4-6 weeks before the last frost date and transplant when all threats of frost have passed.
Direct Seeding: Sow approx 1/8" deep, covering gently with fine soil. Darkness is required for germination.
Care: Pansies are hardy annuals, meaning that they generally handle a light frost once plants are established. Deadhead or cut frequently to encourage continued blooming.
Harvesting:
Fresh: Cut when approximately 50% of the flowers are open.
Dried: Great for pressing as they will hold their colour very nicely.
