Easy to grow lime green foliage. Each branch develops beautiful bells from top to bottom. Easy for a beginning grower as they flourish well on their own, as long as they are direct seeded in cool weather. The more you cut them the more they’ll bloom so snip away!!

Approximate Seeds per Packet: 100

Variety/Hardiness: Annual

Sunlight: Sun to part shade

Mature Height: 24" - 48"

Germination: 12-21 days at 18-20°C   For the best germination, chill seeds for 1-2 weeks at 35-40°F (1.7-4.4°C) before sowing.

Sowing:

Transplant: In our experience, Bells do not transplant well. With this in mind, we strongly encourage direct seeding.

Direct Seeding (recommended): Direct seed as soon as the soil is workable in the spring, when soil is around 10° C. Press gently into soil and don't cover too heavily; light aids germination. Some folks recommend scattering the seeds in the fall and letting them germinate naturally in spring. Keep soil/seeds consistently until germination.

Care: May benefit from staking or horizontal netting in windy locations.

Harvesting:

Fresh: When harvesting choose stems that have developed bells along the entire length of the stem. Adding flower preservative in their water will prolong their vase life.

Dried: Not a common dried flower, but feel free to experiment
