This variety starts off with a creamy white flower, but is grown mostly for the textural seed pod that is left behind! These are great in dried bouquets, or as textural elements amongst fresh ingredients.

Sunlight: Full sun
Mature Height: 28" - 36"
Germination: 10-12 days at 18-21°C

Transplant (recommended): Start indoors 4-6 weeks before planting out. Light aims germination, so do not bury seeds. We find these tend to be quite vigorous seedlings, and may need to be pinched back if started to early.
Direct Seeding: Not typically recommended.
Care: Continue to cut or deadhead for continual harvest. Some suggest planting successions for best production.
Harvesting:
Fresh: Not typically used for fresh flowers.
Dried: Harvest pods when they are light green and the edges are just turning a darker brown; at this stage, the center star-shape will also be dark. If harvested when to mature, these are prone to shattering. Use immediately among fresh flowers, or hang to dry for future projects.
