Sowing:
Transplant (recommended): Sow indoors 8 – 10 weeks before last frost. Cover seeds lightly. Bottom water or mist to avoid displacing seeds with soil.
Direct Seeding: Not recommended.
Care: Pansies are hardy annuals, meaning that they generally handle a light frost once plants are established. Deadhead or cut frequently to encourage continued blooming.
Harvesting:
Fresh: Cut deep and low into the plant to encourage branching and longer stems on subsequent growth. Pansies are long-lasting cut flowers when placed in fresh, clean water.
Dried: Great for pressing as they will hold their colour very nicely.
